Job Description

The Power BI Developer role at Wipro focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with Power BI and other data visualization tools, ensuring high-quality analytics and reporting for business stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Development & Data Analysis

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports to provide insights into business performance.
• Work with large datasets, performing data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
• Create interactive reports with drill-down functionalities, KPIs, and trend analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reports.
• Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

2. Coding & Software Development

• Develop custom visualizations and calculations using DAX and M-query.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
• Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to prepare data for reporting.
• Integrate Power BI solutions with various data sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.

3. Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance

• Identify and resolve performance issues in Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Debug and troubleshoot errors to improve system reliability.
• Conduct regular testing and validation to maintain high-quality data visualization solutions.

4. Client Communication & Documentation

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users for better adoption of Power BI dashboards.
• Document all technical specifications, best practices, and user guides for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX and M-query.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Experience in ETL processes and integrating data from multiple sources.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
