Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & Innovation

• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective software solutions.
• Build high-performance distributed computing systems to support Amazon’s vast operations.
• Work on data-driven predictions and AI-based models to enhance Amazon’s services.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with cross-disciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and launch new features and products.
• Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to ensure a seamless customer experience.

3. Agile Development & Problem-Solving

• Work in an agile environment with short development cycles (measured in weeks, not years).
• Use data-driven decision-making to refine features and optimize performance.
• Identify and solve broadly defined software challenges with creative and efficient solutions.

4. High-Quality Code & Best Practices

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Follow best coding practices, testing, and version control protocols.
• Continuously improve software through testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, C++, or related technologies.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms to solve complex problems.
• Ability to design scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services like AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with machine learning, AI, or big data technologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to agile development methodologies.
• Experience working with large-scale databases and query optimization.
