Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer I at American Express, you will be contributing to the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and planning to development, testing, and deployment.
Key duties include:

- Writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

Educational Qualifications

- A strong academic background and understanding of computer science fundamentals is essential.
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in Java or Go, with a strong grasp of OOPs concepts, multithreading, and exception handling.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and operating system concepts.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and building distributed systems.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and messaging systems such as Redis, Kafka, Cassandra.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Proficiency in tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Maven for version control and deployment.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn new technologies.
