Job Role: Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at IBM ISDL, your work will involve designing, developing, testing, and supporting IBM’s core systems technologies. These technologies include operating systems, firmware, systems software, cloud platforms, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of product development—design, code, test, and deploy.
  • Collaborate with global product management and development teams.
  • Analyze software requirements and identify the best design approaches.
  • Build scalable systems and software that align with cloud-first, cognitive business strategies.
  • Support and validate system products for performance, security, and usability.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines:

    • Electronics & Communication
    • Any other relevant technical field

This role is open to freshers as well as professionals with up to 2 years of experience.

Skills Required

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming knowledge in C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux internals, data structures, and algorithms
  • Exposure to Cloud Computing & Virtualization (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and microservices architecture
  • Experience or knowledge in UI technologies like ReactJS, Groovy

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with OpenStack, RESTful APIs, JSP, GraphQL
  • Exposure to AI/ML, Data Science, NLP
  • Knowledge of SQL, Ansible, NodeJS, Bootstrap/Material Design
  • Understanding of server performance diagnostics and monitoring tools
