About the SIM Program

The SIM program is an innovative higher-education initiative introduced by Wipro to support Diploma graduates who want to enter the IT industry early. Through this model, candidates join Wipro as full-time employees and simultaneously pursue a B.Tech in Information Systems from a University that has “Institute of Eminence (IoE)” status under the Government of India. The degree is completely funded by Wipro, making this one of the most affordable and career-friendly options for students who want a blend of education and professional exposure.

Salary & Stipend Details

The SIM program follows a structured stipend system that increases every year. This allows students to build financial stability while pursuing higher education.

• First Year Stipend: INR 12,400 per month
• Second Year Stipend: INR 15,488 per month
• Third Year Stipend: INR 17,553 per month
• Fourth Year Stipend: INR 19,618 per month

This incremental pay structure ensures that students’ earnings grow steadily along with their skills and responsibilities.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the SIM program, candidates must have:

• Passed 10th and 12th standards
• Secured 50% or above in their Diploma
• Completed a full-time Diploma in one of the following branches:
  Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Technology, Computer Science and Technology, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering

The program is open for 2024 and 2025 Diploma graduates only.

A maximum education gap of three years is allowed between 10th and the start of the Diploma. Core Mathematics must be one of the subjects in the Diploma. Business or Applied Mathematics will not be accepted as a substitute.

Candidates can apply even if they have one active backlog, but they must clear it before the 6th semester.
Indian citizens, as well as PIO/OCI card holders, are eligible. Bhutan and Nepal nationals must provide a valid citizenship document.

Candidates who attended any Wipro selection process within the last three months are not eligible. Applicants must also be 18 years or older at the time of onboarding.

Job Role Overview

Students selected for the SIM program become part of Wipro’s IT Infrastructure Management division. They work on real-time IT operations, service desk processes, troubleshooting, infrastructure monitoring, and enterprise-level system management. The role combines hands-on technical work with structured learning modules to build strong IT foundations.

Application & Evaluation Process

The SIM hiring process includes multiple rounds to ensure candidates have the right aptitude and communication skills to perform well in IT roles.

Online Assessment:
The first stage includes an 80-minute online test with:

• Verbal ability
• Analytical ability
• Quantitative ability
• Written Communication Test

Voice Assessment:
Candidates who clear the online test move to a voice-based evaluation to assess communication clarity, language fluency, and customer-handling skills.

Business Discussion:
This interaction evaluates a candidate’s intent, problem-solving mindset, thought process, and understanding of the IT field.

Pre-Skilling Training:
Before onboarding, shortlisted candidates must complete training designed to strengthen basic technical and communication foundations.
