Job Description: Associate Systems Engineer – Cyber Security
CGI is inviting applications from passionate and committed fresh graduates with a keen interest in Cybersecurity and Information Security. Selected candidates will begin their careers with real-time security projects involving ethical hacking, vulnerability testing, and cyber risk analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web and mobile applications.
- Monitor security logs and assist in identifying, investigating, and mitigating security incidents.
- Contribute to the development of internal cybersecurity documentation, policies, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with development, cloud, and network teams to mitigate identified risks and improve system resilience.
- Stay up to date with emerging threats, trends, and tools in the cyber world (including OWASP Top 10).
- Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, and Wireshark.
- Support the setup of secure environments and assist in compliance audits.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings during reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) – preferably in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or relevant branches.
- Passing Year: 2024 or 2025.
- Academic Criteria: Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th, 12th, and graduation.
- Strong foundation in networking concepts, firewalls, encryption techniques, and authentication mechanisms.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, Linux commands, and basic scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA Security+, or any security-related MOOC or bootcamp.
- Prior exposure to academic projects or internships in penetration testing, security analysis, or ethical hacking.
