Job Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer I (CAD Developer), your core responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing software components using C++, MFC, and CAD/Geometric Kernels.
- Working on product development and long-term projects for GTS (Global Technology Solutions) products.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting existing codebases and resolving bugs or performance issues.
- Collaborating with design teams to understand product requirements and deliver high-quality features.
- Preparing documentation and technical reports to support the SDLC process.
Required Skills and Tool Proficiency
Primary Skills:
- C++ (minimum 2 years of experience)
- CAD Development (with any CAD/Geometric Kernel APIs such as NX Open, Creo TOOLKIT, Granite, or SolidWorks APIs)
- Analytical Geometry and Aptitude
Secondary Skills:
- MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes)
- C#.NET, WPF
- Geometric Algorithms
Tool Experience:
- MS Visual Studio 2012/2015
- JIRA, SVN
- Rational memory management tools (or similar)
